How to Include Services for Multiple Existing Companies Using Template?
Eqvista simplifies the process of managing multiple companies by allowing users to easily add services, including cap table management, 409A valuation, and real-time valuation.
Note: The companies have the following access types – full access, limited view, or full view. You must have full access to add services to the company.
Add Services for Multiple Existing Companies
Whether you’re looking to expand or enhance the services for multiple existing companies, this guide will walk you through the simple steps to add services for multiple companies using template on the Eqvista platform.
Step 1: Log into your account on Eqvista, or create an account if you have not yet signed up.

Once you have logged into your account, you will be directed to the dashboard and select a company you have already created. On the dashboard, click on company name on the left-hand side to get a drop-down menu and select “Add Company or Service”.

Step 2: Once you have logged into your new Eqvista account or clicked on the option “Add Company or Service”, you will be directed to the following page.
Note: You can also add a single company by filling in your company details. Check out the support article to learn more about single company setup.

To onboard multiple companies, click on “Switch to Bulk Import”.
Step 3: Then, you will be directed to provide your basic company information by selecting the option:
- Work with existing companies: Select from the companies you already manage on Eqvista.
- Create new companies: Onboard entirely new legal entities into Eqvista.
In this case, we have selected the option “Work with existing companies”.
Note: You can add new companies by clicking “Create new companies”. Check out the support article to learn more about adding new companies.
Select companies to add services by typing their name or choosing from the drop-down menu as shown below.
Note: You must have full access to add services to the companies.

After selecting companies, click on “Continue to Service Selection”.
Step 4: Once you click, you will be directed to select your services by choosing the modules that best fit your company. The name of the company is displayed below each service module if the company already has the service.
In this case, we have selected the service “409A Valuation”.
Note: If you’re unsure about the services or need assistance, click on the “Book a call” button.

After choosing services, click on “Continue to Data Source”.
Step 5: Then, you will be directed to choose the method to fill in the company’s details – upload the completed template or enter each company’s details manually.
In this case, we have selected the option “Upload spreadsheet”.

1. Prepare Data
Download our optimized Excel template containing the exact schema required by clicking on “Download Template”. To view the columns of the template, click on “+5 more columns”

Once you click “Download Template”, the template gets downloaded as an Excel sheet in your Downloads.

Double-click the Excel sheet to open the downloaded template.

2. Upload Complete File
Once your file is ready, click on “Browse File” to upload the complete file. The supported file formats are XLSX and XLS, with a maximum file size of 50 MB.

Choose the file that you want to add and click on “Open”.

When you click on open, the file will be uploaded as shown below.

Step 6: Then, you will be directed to the page where the data of the imported file will be reviewed. It will display the errors along with an option to edit by clicking on the edit symbol.

Once you click, a panel will appear to edit your company information.

Once done, click on “Save Company Information”.
Step 7: After editing your company information, the status changes to “Valid” and click on “Finish Onboarding”.

Step 8: Connect each company’s financials from QuickBooks to build its real-time valuation. QuickBooks is optional, and any company you leave unconnected will use the figures from your import instead.

In this case, we will connect to QuickBooks by clicking on “Connect QuickBooks”.

Note: You can click “Set period for all” to fill in the period start and period end for all the companies.
Quickbooks Integration
Once you click “Connect QuickBooks”, a panel will appear to fill in the period start and period end to pull financial data from QuickBooks for a custom date range.

Once done, click on “Connect & Import”.
Then, you will be redirected to enter the email or User ID of QuickBooks as shown below.

Once you click “Sign in”, you will be redirected to enter your password and click on “Continue”.

Once you do this, you will be directed to the following page. By selecting “Connect”, you agree that we can share your QuickBooks Online data with Eqvista.

The QuickBooks integration displays the status “Connected” along with a few functions and an option to “Disconnect”.

#1 Verify Data
Once you click “Verify Data”, you will be directed to verify the financial data pulled from QuickBooks for the entered period.

Once you click “Confirm Data”, the status changes from “Connected” to “Verified” as shown below.

#2 Change Period
When you click “Change Period”, a panel appears to change the period start and period end to pull financial data from QuickBooks.

Step 9: After you have added all the details, click on “Finish Onboarding”.

Once you click on “Finish Onboarding”, a pop-up panel appears along with the option “Go to Dashboard”.

Step 10: Then, you will be directed to the dashboard of the company. The service added for the company is 409A valuation, which can be viewed by clicking on “409A Valuation” on the left side of the dashboard or by clicking on “Manage Fair Market Value (FMV)”.

All the valuation results will be updated here, and a graph will be shown.
Note: A 409A valuation is applicable for 12 months or year after the valuation date unless there is a significant material event.
By clicking on “Add Fair Market Value“, you can add fair market value. To share and edit the fair market value entered, check out the respective support article.
The “TBD” can only be deleted by clicking on “Actions”.

You will receive an email confirming that your request has been successfully submitted along with an option to “Schedule Meeting”.

Step 11: Since QuickBooks has been connected to access your financial data and automatically generate quarterly real-time valuations.
The real-time valuation generated by QuickBooks can be viewed by clicking on “Real Time Valuation” on the left side of the dashboard.

Then, you will be directed to the page displaying the fair market value of real-time valuation and the source as “QuickBooks”.
The QuickBooks integration displays the status “Connected” along with details of the next real time valuation schedule, and an option to “Disconnect”.
