How To Add Fair Market Value Or FMV?

The fair market value is the current value of the company’s share. It gives you an idea of what a specific stock would be worth in the open market. Note: the FMV of a company’s 409a valuation is applicable for 12 months after the valuation date unless there is a significant material event.

Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Log into your Eqvista account and select the company profile to add fair market value. From the dashboard, click on “409A Valuation” on the left-hand side of the menu.

Here, click on “Manage Fair Market Value (FMV)” on the right-hand side of the page.  

Step 2: Once you do this, you will be redirected to the next page where you can add fair market value. You begin by selecting the source and valuation date from the drop-down menu and filling in the fields with details about total valuation and share price.

After entering the details, click “Save“.
