Creating a Certificate Template
A template can be used when creating certificates for grants. The feature allows you to customize the terms, legends, and company logo of the certificate.
Note: The certificate template feature is only available for premium account holders. Kindly upgrade your account to unlock this feature.
Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Log into Eqvista and select your company account.
On the dashboard, click “Admin Records” from the left side to get a drop-down menu and select “My Templates”.
Step 2: Here, you will see all the templates that have been created. To create a new template, click “Add Certificate Template”.
Step 3: Then, customize the template elements to create a personalized certificate. On the top, enter the template’s name in the space shown below.
Step 4: To insert a company logo in the certificate, click “Select File”. The supported formats of the file are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and SVG.
Once you select the file, click “Open” and it will be added to the certificate template.
Step 5: Define the terms and conditions of the certificate – the text to be included in the certificate.
Use variables from the left panel to insert information that can be customized for each certificate. The variables can be filtered by Text Style (Bold and Regular) and Format (Numeric and Text).
Select the text type and format, place the cursor where you want to insert a variable, and then click on the variable to insert it.
Step 6: Enter the legends or additional information to include in the certificate. Select where to position the legends on the certificate.
Step 7: To download the customized certificate template for preview, click “Download Preview”.
The template gets downloaded as a zip folder in your Downloads.
Step 8: Double-click the zip folder to open the downloaded certificate in PDF format. Each certificate has two looks – Classic and Modern.
In this case, we have selected “Modern”. Double-click the PDF file to open the downloaded certificate in the modern look.
Step 9: Once you have reviewed the downloaded preview and added all the elements, click on “Save”.
Step 10: As soon as you save the template, it will be added to the other templates.

Step 11: The template can be used when creating certificates for grants by clicking on “Admin Records” to get a drop-down menu and select “Certificates”. Then, click on “Create Certificate” to create one.
Once you do this, a panel will appear on the page to select a template from the drop-down menu as shown below.
