See Your Cap Table as It Was: Introducing Historical Cap Table Views
Managing equity is rarely a straight line. Grants have a history. Secondary transactions close weeks after they’re agreed. Auditors ask questions about ownership as it stood months or years ago. Until now, answering those questions required manual digging through records and reconstructing your cap table by hand.
Eqvista is rolling out a powerful update that gives companies greater clarity and control over their equity data: the Historical Cap Table Report

Historical Cap Table Report: What’s Included?
With this previously dated Cap Table feature, users can now view their cap table as it existed at any point in the past, not just the current snapshot. By simply selecting a historical date, the cap table adjusts to reflect ownership, grants, and transactions exactly as they were at that time.
This makes it significantly easier to track changes, validate historical data, and support accurate reporting.

Key Features
- Pick any historical date and view a fully accurate snapshot of your cap table at that time
- See ownership and grants reflected as they existed not as they appear today
- Reconcile as of date grants and secondary transactions with confidence
- Support audits, due diligence, and compliance workflows with precise historical data
Built For Historical Grants And Secondary Transactions
The historical cap table report feature is especially valuable for companies that regularly deal with as-of-date equity events, a common reality in early-stage companies and those going through secondary transactions.
Reconstructing accurate historical ownership is no longer a manual exercise.
A More Consistent Active/Inactive System
Alongside this, Eqvista is introducing a more structured Active/Inactive system for both grants and shareholders. Grants with zero shares will automatically be marked as inactive and, by default, excluded from downloaded reports (with an option to include them if needed). Similarly, shareholders without any active grants will be classified as inactive.
This update improves consistency across the platform, keeping equity records cleaner, more stable, and easier to interpret as companies scale.
