Purpose and Commitment
Eqvista, Inc., and its affiliates and associated companies (hereinafter referred to as Eqvista or Company) is committed to the responsible, secure and transparent use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
Eqvista believes AI can enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of valuation, equity management and benchmarking services while respecting client confidentiality, data protection and human oversight.
This AI Policy outlines how Eqvista designs, implements and governs its AI systems to align with company values, legal and compliance standards, privacy issues and contractual commitments to clients.
Scope and Applicability
This Policy applies to all AI and ML systems developed, deployed and used by Eqvista, including internal tools and platform-embedded features.
The Policy governs AI systems across their whole-life phase, covering design, data management, implementation, supervision and end of life and applied to:
- Eqvista employees, contractors and affiliates who use or deploy AI tools and system
- Clients interaction with AI-powered features or outputs within the Eqvista platform
All AI-related activities are to be read in conjunction with Eqvista’s Terms & Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy.
Principles of AI Use
Eqvista’s approach to AI is based on the following principles:
- Human Oversight: All AI assisted outputs in equity management and valuation are reviewed by qualified human analysts before being finalized. AI is used to support and not replace expert analysis.
- Data Privacy: AI systems process only the minimum data necessary as per Eqvista’s own privacy commitments.
- Security: All data involved in AI operations is handled within Eqvista’s secure infrastructure, using encryption in transit and at rest with role-based access control.
- Fairness and Accuracy: AI models are monitored for reliability and potential bias. Outputs are validated and improved through testing and feedback.
- Confidentiality and IP Protection: No client specific or identifiable data is shared with or used to train external AI models.
- Continuous Improvement: Eqvista regularly audits, evaluates and enhances AI systems for performance, compliance and ethic integrity.
Data Sources and Model Training
Eqvista’s AI systems are trained and improved by using the following:
- Aggregated and anonymized data derived from Eqvista’s client base
- Publicly available financial datasets and industry information
- Synthetic or simulated data generated internally to enhance model performance
No identifiable client data is used for training, fine-tuning or external model improvement.
AI systems are periodically reviewed to ensure data minimization and compliance with applicable data protection standards.
Anonymization and Benchmarking
Eqvista generates benchmarking insights based on anonymized data to support valuation services and internal tool development for clients.
Anonymization safeguards include:
- Removal of all company and personal identifiers
- Aggregation across cohorts large enough to prevent re-identification
- Optional data smoothing or normalization to prevent outlier leakage
- Redaction of unique or sensitive terms (e.g. extreme valuations, specific terms)
Published benchmarks (e.g. valuation medians or dilution trends) are strictly non-identifiable and do not disclose client-specific information.
User Transparency and Controls
- AI-generated outputs are used as decision-support tools, not as financial, legal or investment advice.
- No identifiable company or client information is published in any public material without prior written consent
- No identifiable client data is used in sales, marketing or external publications without prior written consent
Modification of AI Policy
Eqvista reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, change, alter, add or remove portions of this Policy at any time. It is Your responsibility, and You agree to this Policy and posting of changes from time to time. The continued use of Our Website after the posting of any changes means that You accept and agree to these changes.

Policy Updates and Effective Date
If we make updates to this Policy, we will update the Policy with the changes and revise the “Last updated” posted at the bottom of this Policy. Any updates to the Policy become effective when we post the updates on the Site. Your use of the Site following the update to the Policy means that you accept the updated Policy.
