To make Eqvista better, we have made the generation of different reports much easier on. So, instead of going into the detail of the cap table and the long process to export the cap table on an excel sheet, you can easily go to the reports option and straightaway get the reports based on where you want to use them.

Types of Report

There are three types of reports that you would need to use. Each has been explained below:

Note: We have also shared the steps on how you can reach these reports.

Step 1: Log in to the application, select your company profile, and when you reach the dashboard, click on “Report” from the left-side menu as shown below:

When you click on “Report”, you will reach this page where you can then get all three types of reports. Each has been explained below:

#1 Cap table Report

The first report that you can see here is the cap table report. By clicking on the name, you will get the following message and the option to download it.

To download this cap table, click on the “Generate report”.

Once you do this, the report would be downloaded in an Excel format. When you open the report, it will have two sheets in it.

The first sheet would have the following information:

To view the details, click on the second sheet with the name “Captable” to get the following page:

From the above, you can easily see that you will be able to see all the main transactions that you need for your cap table report.


#2 Basic Company Report

The second report that you can see here is the basic company report. By clicking on the name, you will get the following message and the option to download it.

The report has the following details:

  • Shareholders
  • Common equities
  • Preferred equities
  • Options
  • Warrants
  • Convertible notes

To download this cap table, click on the “Generate report”. The first sheet would have the following information:

You can click on the other sheets to see the details of each accordingly. Here is how the shareholders’ sheet looks like:

This sheet would display all the shareholders in the company. The next sheet is the “Common equities” and it looks like this:

The next sheet is the “options” and looks like this:

The last sheet in this would be the “convertible notes” and would have the following information:

#3 Secondary Transaction Report

The last report that you can get from here is the “Secondary transaction report”. By clicking on the name, you will get the following message and the option to download it.

  • Exercises
  • Transfers
  • Repurchases
  • Conversions
  • Cancellations

To download this cap table, click on the “Generate report”. The first sheet would have the following information:

The next sheet is about “Exercises”. This is where you will see all the details of all the options that have been exercised.

The next sheet shows all the “transfers” made in the company:

After that comes the sheet that shows the “conversions” in the company:

And the last sheet of this excel report would show you all the “cancellations” made in the company:

And just like this, all the reports would share the details of your cap table on an excel sheet separately and neatly stacked.
