Decline Shareholder Invitation
The superuser can grant shareholder access or full access to the company’s cap table. The shareholders have the option to decline the invitation to access the cap table.
Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: An invitation will be sent to the shareholder which needs to be accepted. This is a sample of the invitation that appears to the shareholder.
To decline the invitation, click on “Decline Invitation”.
Note: The shareholder can accept the invitation by clicking “Accept Invitation”. Check out the support article to know more about accepting invitations.
Step 2: With this, the shareholder will be directed to the next page confirming the invite has been declined.
Note: The above steps were to be taken by the shareholder. The next steps are to be taken by the superuser on Eqvista who handles the cap table.
Step 3: To view the status of the shareholder invitation, log into Eqvista and select your company account.
From here, you will reach the dashboard and click on “Shareholders” from the left-side menu.
Step 4: Then, you will be directed to the page where the status changes from “Pending” to “Declined” on the last column of the shareholder’s name.
Step 5: Suppose you want to resend an invitation to the shareholder who previously declined it, click on “Manage Access”.
Step 6: When you click on the “Manage Access” button, a small panel appears as shown below.
On the left side, type in the email address and click on the search. You will get two options to choose from:
- Under the shareholder access, stakeholders have the option to view their grants, take an interest in board goals, sign and request electronic certificates, and sign grant acceptance.
- Full access or admin access gives full access to the company’s cap table.
In this case, we select “Shareholder Access” and click on “Provide Shareholder Access”. An invitation will be sent again to the shareholder which needs to be accepted.
