How to Unfreeze an Account?
Note: If you’re going to take a break from payments, we recommend canceling your subscription rather than stopping payments. Simply discontinuing payments may result in your account being marked as Late Payment and, finally, Frozen.
Then, if you want to reactivate your account, you must pay for the unpaid period. To avoid this inconvenience, please remember to cancel your subscription.
Here are the steps to follow to unfreeze an account:
Step 1: Log into your Eqvista account to unfreeze an account.
On the dashboard, click on “Subscription” on the left-hand side to get a drop-down menu. Then, click “Detail” or “Renew Subscription” in the dashboard.
Note: After logging in, you can cancel your subscription by selecting “Cancel Subscription” in the dashboard. Check out the support article to learn how to cancel your subscription.
Step 2: Once you do this, you will see the last payment for the Premium subscription was declined and if the payment is not made within 7 days, the account will be frozen.
Then, the total due amount for the time period along with the number of shareholders, and two options – Reactivate Subscription and Cancel Subscription.
Note: For a late payment account, you need to pay for the unpaid period before you reactivate subscription as a data storage fee. So if you want to pause payments, you should cancel your subscription.
Reactivate subscription is for continuing your premium subscription and the cancel option will cancel your subscription.
Step 3: If there is a late payment or payment for your premium subscription that was declined and not resolved within 7 days, your account will be frozen. Check out our support article to learn more about late payments.
Note: When your account is frozen, you will be able to move only to the Subscription page and its sub-pages (Details and Payment History).
Here, you will see the last payment for the Premium subscription was declined and your account has been frozen.
Then, the total due amount for the time period along with the number of shareholders and an option – Reactivate Subscription. Reactivate subscription is for continuing your premium subscription.
Step 4: Alternatively, if you want to cancel your subscription and set your account as a freemium account, you must first pay for the unpaid period. Then, you will be able to cancel your subscription.
Note: For a frozen account, you need to pay for the unpaid period before canceling or reactive subscription. So if you want to pause payments, you should cancel your subscription.
After selecting “Cancel Subscription”, you will receive an email confirming that your premium subscription has been canceled.
After receiving an email confirmation, you will see the message “your subscription has been canceled and will expire on a specified date” on your dashboard with an option to “Renew Subscription”. If needed, check out the support article to learn how to renew your subscription before your account expires.
Step 5: Once your account expires on the specified date, you will see a pop-up window as soon as you log in to your company account. Check out our support article to learn how to perform the steps of reverse onboarding after your account expires.
After clicking “Cancel Subscription” on your dashboard or the link “Complete the downgrade of your subscription to Freemium” on the detail page under subscription, you will be redirected to the below page.
Step 6: Once you do this, you can perform the steps of reverse onboarding (downgrade to freemium).
The removal of excess information/data (not more than 3 users, 20 shareholders, and will lose access to premium features) will take place in reverse onboarding and manually choosing the data to remove.
Once you have completed, click on “Confirm”. Your account will be active as a freemium account. For more information about Eqvista, check out our support articles or get in touch with us today!
