Eqvista strives to be a platform for companies to efficiently manage their stock, cap tables, equity grants and shareholders. With our new Spreadsheet feature, you can now manage, add, edit and delete large volumes of information like you would on Excel!
The Spreadsheet feature allows you to manage your shareholders, common equity grants, preferred equity grants, and option grants in one place with similar functionalities to Excel.
Please note: the Spreadsheet feature is only available to Premium account holders. Please upgrade your account if you want to unlock this feature.
Given below is the step-by-step guide to viewing the table for preferred equity grants under Spreadsheet view.
Step:1 Login to your Eqvista account and select your company profile. On the Dashboard, click on “Cap Table” from the left side menu.
Step 2: Click on the “Spreadsheet” feature and a page will open for you as shown below. Under “Select Table Type” on the right hand side, select “Preferred equity grants”.
Step 3: Under the “Manage Company Option Grants” page, you can perform various spreadsheet functions like creating, editing or deleting existing and new shareholders (just like how you would in Excel). You can add a new shareholder, equity class, grant name, share amount, share price, and other vesting details. After you have added or edited the details, click on the “Check before save” button.
Note: Grants under the same equity class must have the same Equity class name, otherwise the system will create a separate class. During the saving process, every new class name would create a new equity class. In order to add grants with non-existing shareholders, you would need to switch to the “Shareholder” table and add new ones, then click the “Save” button.
Step 4: A data validation message will appear. This can either mean the data you have entered have no issues or there are some details missing or incorrect. After checking, you can proceed to saving the information by clicking on the “Save” button.
Step 5: After data processing, the shareholder details will be added to the spreadsheet under the “preferred equity grants” table as shown below.
