What is Real-time 409a and Real-time FMV?

Real-Time 409A valuation is best for early-stage startups, looking to establish the fair market value of their shares. Real-Time FMV (Fair Market Value) valuation is designed for companies that want to monitor their valuation on an ongoing basis. 

Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Log into Eqvista and select your company account.

On the dashboard, click on “Real Time Valuation” on the left side, as shown below.

Step 2:  Once you do this, you will be directed to the following page. You can request a real-time valuation right from here by clicking “Request Real Time Service”.

Step 3: Fill in the details including the valuation date, the business nature and a short description, the approximate annual revenue, the total previous funding rounds, whether you have had a previous 409A or not, and the type of valuation (Real Time 409A or Real Time Fair Market Value).

Once done, click on “Submit Request”. 

Step 4: You will receive an email confirming that your request has been submitted successfully.
