How Do News Events Affect My Real-Time Valuation?
On Eqvista, you can get a real-time valuation right from the application’s dashboard. Additionally, you can view news events in the real-time valuation.
Note: The real-time valuation feature is only available for 409A account holders. Kindly upgrade your account to unlock the feature.
How to View and Configure News Events in Real-time Valuation?
The feature enhances your real-time valuation by providing insights into company news and competitor news related to pricing movements.
Here are the steps to follow:
Open Real- Time Valuation Account
Step 1: Log into Eqvista and select your company account.
On the dashboard, click on “Real Time Valuation” on the left side, as shown below.
Click Settings on Real- Time Valuation
Step 2: On this page, you can view the real-time valuation graph displaying the fair market value, which gets updated constantly.
Note: Connect QuickBooks to import financials and build a real-time valuation automatically. To share your real-time valuation report, click on “Share”. Embed your real-time valuation on your website by clicking “Embed”. Check out the respective support articles to learn more about it.
To view news events on real-time valuation, click on “Settings”.
Customize Your Real-time Valuation Settings
Step 3: Once you click, a pop-up panel appears with various options to customize your real-time valuation settings.
A detailed feature-by-feature analysis of the various options will help you understand them better.
#1 Show Company News on Chart
It provides an option to view company news on the chart in real-time valuation. By default, this option is enabled.
Note: It also displays news events added by clicking on “+ Add Event” in the company news section. Check out the support article to learn about adding news events under the company news section.
Search for the latest company news by clicking on “Discover Company News”. New events appear on the chart once the search finishes.
Once you click on “Discover Company News”, it displays “Company news search started. New events will appear shortly”, as shown below.
#2 Competitor List
The next section provides options to identify, track competitors, and view competitor news on real-time valuation. There are two options to choose from – AI Generated and Manual Input.
A. AI Generated
AI will automatically identify and track competitors based on your industry and market position. By default, this option is selected.
B. Manual Input
Manually add and manage your competitor list by entering the competitor website in the space provided as shown below.
Search for the latest competitor company news by clicking on “Discover Competitor News”. It searches for competitor news, and only new events are added.
Once you click on “Discover Competitor News”, it displays “Company news search started. New events will appear shortly”, as shown below.
#3 Event Types to Display
Choose which event types to display, such as financing, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), market, operational, and regulatory & legal. By default, all the event types are selected.
After customizing the various options under chart display settings, click on “Save”.
View Company News on Real- Time Valuation
Step 4: Once you click on “Save”, the various options customized under real-time valuation settings can be viewed on the chart in real-time valuation.
- The company news can be viewed on the chart in real-time valuation.
- The added competitor list will help you track and manage your competitors.
- The company news shows selected event types on the chart in real-time valuation.
The company news can be viewed on the chart and under the “Company News” section. When clicked, it redirects to the details of the news as shown below.
