Role Overview
As the Valuation Analyst, Manager, you will lead a team of valuation professionals, overseeing complex valuation projects and ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant valuations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a CVA certification and extensive experience in valuation analysis. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, where your leadership and analytical skills will drive the success of our valuation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of valuation analysts, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the delivery of high-quality valuation services. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Complex Valuation Analysis: Lead and oversee advanced valuations of equity, stock options, and other financial instruments. Utilize sophisticated methodologies and models to deliver accurate and comprehensive analyses.
- Financial Modeling: Develop, maintain, and refine complex financial models to support valuation projects. Apply quantitative techniques and data analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Report Preparation: Oversee the preparation of detailed valuation reports and documentation. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and transparency in all communications to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all valuations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust practices as needed to maintain compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of valuation work. Conduct thorough reviews and audits of valuation projects to uphold high standards.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on valuation-related matters. Address complex valuation issues, provide expert advice, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including finance, legal, and operations, to support business objectives and address valuation-related challenges. Work with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and innovations in valuation practices. Contribute to the development and refinement of valuation methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in valuation, financial analysis, or a related field, with a strong background in equity valuations and financial modeling. Prior experience in a managerial role is required.
- Certification: CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and data analysis. Proficiency in valuation software and tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of valuation professionals. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex valuation concepts clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-pressure environment. Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSF) is a plus.
