How to Automatically Add Competitor News to Your Real-Time Valuation?
A real-time valuation performed by professional experts at Eqvista calculates the fair market value of your company’s shares. Additionally, you can add competitor news to your real-time valuation.
Note: The real-time valuation feature is only available for 409A account holders. Kindly upgrade your account to unlock the feature.
How to View Competitor News in Real-time Valuation?
The feature offers an option to identify, track, and view competitor news in the real-time valuation, enhancing the valuation by incorporating relevant information. By integrating these insights, you can make more informed decisions and gain a deeper understanding of market dynamics, ultimately leading to more comprehensive and insightful valuations.
Open Real-Time Valuation Account
Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Log into Eqvista and select your company account.
On the dashboard, click on “Real Time Valuation” on the left side, as shown below.
Click Settings on Real-Time Valuation
Step 2: On this page, you can view the real-time valuation graph displaying the fair market value, which gets updated constantly.
Note: Connect QuickBooks to import financials and build a real-time valuation automatically. To share your real-time valuation report, click on “Share”. Embed your real-time valuation on your website by clicking “Embed”. Check out the respective support articles to learn more about it.
To view competitor news on real-time valuation, click on “Settings”.
Customize Your Real-time Valuation Settings
Step 3: Once you click, a pop-up panel appears with various options to view company news, competitor news, and event types to display in real-time valuation.
Enable Show Company News in Chart
Step 4: The company news can be viewed on the real-time valuation by enabling the option “Show Company News in Chart”. By default, this option is enabled.
Note: It also displays news events added by clicking on “+ Add Event” in the company news section. Check out the support article to learn about adding news events under the company news section.
Identify and Track Competitors
Step 5: Competitor news can be automatically added to real-time valuation by first identifying your competitors. There are two options to identify and track competitors to choose from – AI Generated and Manual Input.
A. AI Generated
AI will automatically identify and track competitors based on your industry and market position. By default, this option is selected.
B. Manual Input
Manually add and manage your competitor list by entering the competitor website in the space provided as shown below.
Discover Competitor News
Step 5: After identifying your competitor using AI-generated or manual input, add competitor news to your real-time valuation by clicking on “Discover Competitor News”. It searches for the latest competitor news, and only new events are added.
Once you click on “Discover Competitor News”, it displays “Company news search started. New events will appear shortly”, as shown below.
