What is a Group Structure?
The group structure allows visualization and management of group hierarchy within the Eqvista platform. The feature basically allows companies to link their subsidiary companies to their parent companies (or vice versa).
Key Features and Highlights
With Eqvista’s Group Structure, users can quickly view all entities, navigate between parent and subsidiary details, and understand how ownership flows within the organization. Each company can belong to only one group structure, it cannot appear in multiple separate structures.
Hierarchy Visualization: It allows companies to easily link to their subsidiary companies or parent companies.
Cap Table Integration: For companies that already have an account on Eqvista, the feature automatically links their cap table data to display the correct ownership percentages.
Different Sections of Group Structure
Eqvista offers a comprehensive view by providing the option “View Chart” for detailed analysis. It provides a graphical representation of the created group structure along with three different sections.
#1 Group Structure Map
The section displays the graphical representation of the created group structure along with its ownership percentage.
- For companies that already have an account on Eqvista, it automatically links their cap table data to display the correct ownership percentages.
- In case of companies that do not have an account on Eqvista, it displays the entered ownership when creating the group structure.
#2 Ownership Summary
This tab provides a summary table showcasing the ownership percentages, along with a detailed cap table for the company.
- For companies that already have an account on Eqvista, it automatically links their cap table data to display the correct ownership percentages.
- In case of companies that do not have an account on Eqvista, it displays the entered ownership when creating the group structure.
#3 Portfolio of External Investors
In this section, it displays the investment summary of companies in the group, along with a detailed cap table for the company.
#4 Portfolio Financials
This tab provides financial information on External Investor and Group portfolio.
The feature helps companies visualize and analyze ownership and investment relationships within the Eqvista platform—making it ideal for transparency, investor reporting, and strategic decision-making.
