Role Overview
As the Manager of Strategy & Business Operations, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our strategic initiatives and optimizing business operations. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that drive operational efficiency, support business growth, and enhance overall performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent project management abilities, and a capacity to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies, goals, and objectives. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to improve operational processes and efficiency. Identify areas for operational enhancements and implement solutions to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
- Project Management: Manage and oversee strategic projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and ensure timely and successful delivery of project objectives.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, sales, marketing, and technology, to align strategic initiatives with overall business objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to drive project success.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify market trends. Use insights to support strategic planning and identify growth opportunities.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to support organizational growth and transformation. Develop strategies to manage change effectively and ensure smooth transitions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and build strong relationships. Act as a liaison between departments and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or management consulting, preferably within a technology or financial services environment. Experience in equity management or cap table solutions is a plus.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and initiatives. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with business intelligence platforms is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
